Working for the elite Presidential K9 Unit, Marcs dream had become a reality.
Dog Trainer Bio: Marc Pensyl
Marc started working with dogs after he entered the United States Air Force in 2000. He attended school at the 341st Training Squadron to become a Military Working Dog Handler. In K9 school he learned about canine behavior, canine first aid, obedience training, explosive detection, narcotic detection, and the personal protection aspects of dog training. After graduating from his class with "Top Dog" recognition, Marc was on his way to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
Arriving at the home of Air Force One, and working for the elite Presidential K9 Unit, Marcs dream had become a reality! He was working directly with Air Force One, searching for explosives on Presidential missions, and securing the base with his K9 partner. With this job came greater responsibilities and the need to increase his attention to detail. In this type of environment Marc could not have a misbehaved dog, so obedience, detection, and protection work was his daily practice.
Whether Marc was in New York working at the United Nations General Assembly conference, walking the sands of the desert, or just patrolling Andrews Air Force Base, his dog had to trust him, and work with him. Though stressful at times, there was no greater honor for Marc. In 2007, after returning home from deployment to the Middle East Marc attended a "Sit Means Sit" dog trainer course in Nevada, and decided then to take a different route with his life.
Marc left the USAF and furthered his career as a dog trainer. Marc decided he wanted to train dogs professionally, take the valuable training and the career he began in the military and do what he loves the most. Marc has combined all of his military training, private training schools and personal education to develop his training program. This has allowed Marc to incorporate a variety of training techniques from several different resources into a program that has a 100% success rate.
"I hope I can come out and teach you how to teach your dog, and also help strengthen your relationship between you, and your families best friend!"
